Introducing the abuse.ch Community Hub: recognition matters

Published on 22nd July 2026, 14:00:00 UTC

For years, the abuse.ch community has been quietly doing some of the most important work on the internet. Researchers and analysts around the world share malicious threat intelligence all with one mission: to make the internet safer for everyone. Today, we're giving that community the recognition it deserves, with a dedicated space to celebrate your efforts and track your impact - the abuse.ch Community Hub.

Why we built this

Every hash submitted to MalwareBazaar, every malicious URL reported to URLhaus, and every IoC shared on ThreatFox, contributes to a collective effort to disrupt criminal infrastructure. But we wouldn’t be able to make this impact, without your contributions.

That’s why we want to share our thanks, and provide a place for you to see the efforts of your hard work reflected, track the impact of your submissions, and be part of a community.

What's inside the hub

Community stats: The Hub homepage is a live view of the community's collective impact, including total contributions, per-platform breakdowns, monthly trends, and the most recent submissions from contributors. It’s a seriously impressive reminder of what we achieve as a community.

The Top 10 leaderboard: The leaderboard highlights the top contributors based on submissions over the last 30 days. It updates regularly, so keep an eye out for your name. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t enjoy a little friendly competition? The bragging rights are all yours!

Your personal profile: Every abuse.ch contributor gets a Community Hub profile. View your latest contributions across all platforms, your current submission streak, your best legacy streak, and the badges you've earned along the way. You can also share your profile or download it to demonstrate your work.

Badges - Your contributions, recognised: We keep mentioning badges, but what are they!? They’re one of the features we're most excited about! As you contribute, you’ll unlock badges across different categories from contributions, to streaks, takedowns and some badges only awarded in very special circumstances. You’ll notice there’s a theme… miaow.

This is your community

The abuse.ch Community Hub is built with you, our contributors, in mind. You deserve a space that reflects your efforts and connects you to others doing the same. Every sample shared, every malicious URL flagged, and every IOC submitted counts. And now, it all shows.

If you're already a contributor, your Community Hub profile is waiting for you - login to the auth portal and claim it.
